RAPHA RIDGE FARM
In the News
Particpating in 4-H clubs, various shows, and government grants over the years have provided us with many incredible experiences and many lessons learned. Below are a few "in the news" write ups.
Niagara teens gearing up for harvest
Mattea and Josiah participated in the Summer Company, a government grant for students to start a business. Mattea started Rapha Ridge Rabbitry growing quality rabbit meat for the local public while Josiah started Tasty Turkeys growing pastured organic turkeys. Although they both have since moved on to other ventures, they value this amazing experience to start and run their own businesses. The article is available here.
An exciting year at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair
Our first show at the Royal Winter Fair in November 2016 was an amazing experience! Mattea was named Reserve Grand Champion Showperson and Gracie took home a lammancha goat won in a draw. The article is available here.

Previous to our first Royal Winter Fair experience, those of us in 4-H showed at a large fair in Simcoe. It was another great show for the Niagara goat club. The article is here.
