Pastured Chickens

Our chickens are ordered from a local hatchery, grown indoors until 3 weeks old, and then moved to fresh grass daily until they are butchered in a government inspected facility, ready for your dinner table.  They can be purchased fresh within 24 hours of butcher date or frozen there after.

 

They are raised in floorless, moveable pens following Joel Salatin's method which you can read about here. Our chickens are fed non-certified organic grain locally grown in Smithville, Ontario and get all the grass they can eat! 

Our chickens are available at specific times throughout the summer and can be ordered on our order page.
